IT’S HAPPENING! The New England Patriots are going to the Super Bowl (again)!!! If the Pats are fortunate enough to win, they will be back-to-back champions and will have won three championships in the last four years – a feat only matched by… the New England Patriots in 2001, 2003, and 2004! Looking for a great sports bar or restaurant to revel in the Pats Nation love and watch Super Bowl LII from right here in Massachusetts? We’ve got you covered.
Nothing beats a game at Gillette Stadium. A close runner up, though, is open-air shopping and dining center, Patriot Place, just a stone’s throw from where the magic happens. With a variety of restaurants and bars equipped with impressive screens and team spirit to choose from, you won’t miss any of the action.
Lansdowne Street in the Fenway neighborhood is a sports fan’s (and foodie!) paradise. Bill’s Bar & Lounge, Bleacher Bar, Cask ’n Flagon, Game On!, and Lansdowne Pub are some of the coolest spots that serve great food and drinks that get livelier with every Patriots touchdown. Prepare to become besties with the person sitting next to you.

Smokehouse Tavern along cobblestone roads in downtown Lowell, boasts delectable fall-off-the-bone BBQ dishes. Alberto’s Pub & Pizza in Norton has what it takes to satisfy all your cheesy, pizza pie wishes. Whether you choose BBQ or tomato sauce, you’ll need to use some napkins before you high five somebody after a Pats score.
Looking for uber-sporty ambiance? The Fours Restaurant and Sports Bar (recognized by Sports Illustrated as the “Best Sports Bar in America”) in Norwell feels more like a sports hall of fame than a bar, and the excitement of a game at Red Face Jack’s in Yarmouth is only rivaled by the enthusiasm of their loyal regulars. DJ’s Family Sports Pub in Hyannis earned fans early on, introducing its signature-style Buffalo wings to the Cape in 1989. Decades later, the wings are still amazing, and the venue is even better. There’s a Buffalo head on the wall and there are even TVs in the restrooms so you’ll never miss any of the action.

For steak and seafood lovers, Jimmy’s Tavern & Grill in Shrewsbury and at Freight Yard Pub and Restaurant in North Adams are solid game time choices. The toughest part will be deciding whether to pregame with brunch and mimosas, enjoy the game with lunch and a beer, or celebrate the victory with dinner and vino.
And if you like music with your football, Theodore’s BBQ in Springfield is a hip and bluesy joint that keeps Downtown Springfield grooving in between football games. On Sundays, expect those good vibes turned up a notch with fellow Pats fans enjoying the game!
Still searching for the right play? Huddle up at any of these sports bars in MA for game time eats and cheer.
