Even in the heart of winter, tere is always time for love and romance, especially in Massachusetts.  With dozens of Valentine’s Day activities, restaurant and hotel specials, lectures and of course chocolate.  You can find great ideas in 2016 by visiting MassVacation’s Valentine’s Day round-up.
Here are six of our favorite picks for Valentine’s Day weekend, February 12-14, 2016.
Cyrille Aimee (002)
French jazz singer Cyrille Aimee brings her romantic sound to Sculler’s Jazz Club for two shows at 4 pm and 7 pm on Sunday.   Her unique style incorporates the rhythms of Dominican Republic and the joie de vivre of French gypsies.
It’s all downhill at Mount Wachusett this Valentine’s Day, and that’s a good thing!  Check out the BFF package Friday through Sunday, where you get to bring someone special to the slopes.  Plus, great menu at the Black Diamond, and drinks and music at the Coppertop.
Clark Museum_Valentine's Day (002)
The The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown will inspire you this year, starting with a Valentine’s Day Brunch on Sunday morning with gourmet offerings by Chef Dan Hardy, followed by an afternoon of Love-themed Gallery talks and live music.
Paint the Town Chocolate is the theme of Chatham’s Valentine’s Day celebration, which runs from Friday through Sunday.  The cozy Cape Cod town is filled with dining and hotel specials, dancing, winter sales, and yes, plenty of chocolate.
In the spirit of love from the 17th century, check out the Valentine’s Day at Plimoth Plantation.  On Saturday, enjoy a romantic dinner followed by a romantic film at the Henry Hornblower II Visitor Center.
Family outdoors
The Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation offers a Healthy Heart Valentine’s Day walk on Sunday.  Check out one of 70 different Healthy Heart Trail walks across the state.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
