The signs are all around us: it’s peak foliage season in Massachusetts.
As orange and red hues wash across the trees, the scenery provides a delightful backdrop for photographers, hikers, bikers, walkers and everyone that enjoys time in the outdoors.
When it comes to scoping out the best and brightest colors, massvacation.com/fall makes it easy on you. For those who haven’t yet taken a peek, massvacation.com/fall supplies visitors with a unique real-time look at foliage conditions across the Commonwealth.
Each day, Instagram and Twitter photos that are tagged with the hashtag #MAinstafoliage are pulled into the map, presenting a nifty, in-the-moment glance at local autumn scenery from leaf peepers all around Massachusetts. Every week, we’re also selecting one “Photo of the Week” to be highlighted in a special way on the website.

With all of the lovely leafy locations that are now reaching full bloom, it’s no surprise that we’ve received a lot of awesome entries for the “Photo of the Week.” We’d like to send out a major “Thank you” to all of the talented foliage fans who sent photos our way, in particular to those who were generous enough to let us share.
Now, without further ado, here are 10 of the most vivid scenes from this autumn.
