Surely, whenever and wherever you travel, it’s smart to keep up with the latest deals and destination offerings — whether it’s a last minute hotel rate, or a pre-fix meal, it’s always nice to have a few budget-friendly options. When it comes to Massachusetts, the budget-conscious traveler will find that our “Deals” section and “50 under $50” offerings are a great place to start.

And in the spirit of budget-friendly travel, for those interested in traveling to or weekending in Boston this February, make note of Hotel Week Boston!

From February 16 through February 23, Hotel Week Boston will introduce steep discount packages at some of Boston’s finest hotels, with each establishment reducing its best available rate by up to 30%. The hotels will partner with several attractions around the city as well, giving travelers the chance to stay and explore Boston at a bargain.

So, whether you’re planning a winter break on the road or even a belated Valentine’s Day getaway, here’s a look at a few of the places you can save.

Hotel Commonwealth

The Hotel Commonwealth occupies a special place, sitting at the crossroads of Back Bay and Fenway, with quick access to the downtown area just a train ride away. If the weather is agreeable, a walk on the Esplanade, which traces the Charles River, is a nice way to spend the day. There’s plenty of fine dining, as well as shopping, nearby, too. Rooms will be marked down 30% from the best available rate during hotel week and you can take a look at them here.

The Lenox Hotel

You can also score 30% off of the famous “Fireplace Package” at the Lenox Hotel, the only Boston destination that still has authentic, wood-burning fireplaces. The Hotel Week package also includes a complimentary bottle of wine, a nice touch for when you’re putting your feet up by the fire. Several iconic Boston spots, like Acorn Street and Beacon Hill, are just a 20-minute walk away, too.

Boston Harbor Hotel

Located right on the water, Boston Harbor Hotel is the Hub’s only Forbes Five Star Waterfront Hotel; from the 16 through the 23, it will offer visitors the chance to gaze at the skyline or out over the ocean at 25% off. The fortuitously timed Boston Wine Festival, one the country’s premier wine events, will be taking place inside the hotel during Hotel Week Boston. Outside its doors, Boston Harbor Hotel location offers supremely easy access to the Institute of Contemporary Art Boston, a Hotel Week Boston partner that’s right around the corner.

Visitors can enjoy all that Harvard Square has to offer, including a special discount at the Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre. A night in is always a good option at the Charles, too, with the Regatta Bar, Corbu Spa & Salon and Henrietta’s Table providing plenty of entertainment. To make reservations, click here.
