No matter where you are, fresh food always hits the spot. Here in Massachusetts, we’ve have some of the freshest fare around, and much of it can be found in the western part of the state.

Today, we’re highlighting 10 Western Massachusetts farm-to-table restaurants that beckon with tasty, locally farmed culinary creations. Read on for a look at what’s for dinner (and lunch, or sometimes even breakfast)!

Mezze Bistro + Bar in Williamstown, MA

At Mezze Bistro + Bar, Chef Joji Sumi and his team highlight the best of the season, turning locally sourced food into delicious American dishes. The wine, beer and spirits also come from nearby farms and orchards, including East Mountain Farm and Cricket Creek Farm. For Mezze hours and directions, click here.

Zanto Pizza in Southwick, MA

Zanto’s unassuming location might suggest that there’s nothing special to this Italian spot but a few bites is all it takes to correct that faulty assumption. The ‘za, lasagna, ravioli and everything else is made with select ingredients, which makes for food that’s a cut above the traditional neighborhood restaurant. You can find Zanto’s on College Highway, just above the Connecticut border.
