Deerfield, MA. It’s closest to my home town of Northampton. Fall in Massachusetts is the best.

    • MassVacation

Absolutely, Theresa! Deerfield is gorgeous during the fall :)

That’s a great one, Julie, isn’t it? The colors are so vibrant :)

They are all beautiful. I like the Rutland photo the best. I miss this time of year in Mass. I remember looking for the perfect leaf to press between wax paper when I was little living in Elmwood, MA.

    • MassVacation

Thank you, Brenda! The Rutland one is spectacular, isn’t it? The reflection off the water is just amazing. We’re glad we could bring back some fond memories, too :)

  • Sandra Magness Moore

I just returned from 8 days in Mass. and I did not see one scene that remotely looked like any of these pictures including he Martha’s Vineyard

    • MassVacation

      Hi Sandra,

Sorry if there was any misunderstanding! All of these foliage photos were taken in previous years. We haven’t quite hit peak foliage season yet, so these shots aren’t representative of what’s going on right now; they’re more of a preview of what we can look forward to during the next month as peak foliage arrives.

Again, apologies that we didn’t make that clear. We hope you enjoyed your trip :)

These pics are central MA and western MA. Trust me, it’s beautiful this time of year out here!

I’m a Massachusetts native, but I’ve lived in Colorado almost continuously since 1956. As a kid, I had relatives living in Rutland, and that picture is just fantastic. No question — the Aspen here in the Centennial State are beautiful in the fall, but New England is hard to beat for autumn colors (especially Massachusetts). Nice pix!

So many massholes in such a beautiful place.
