Summer has officially arrived, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a week full of fun in the sun! From Friday, June 21 to Saturday, June 29, the 3rd Annual Yarmouth Summer Celebration Kick Off will take place along the coast of West and South Yarmouth on Cape Cod, featuring a host of activities that promise to be a good time for all who attend.
So, if you’re looking to kick off the summer season with nice weather, and a sample of Cape Cod’s culture, the Yarmouth Summer Celebration is the perfect choice.
Well known for its incredible sand sculptures, the Summer Celebration will feature 36 trademark sand sculptures from a team of professional sand sculptors, which are displayed around town, and depict everything from ocean animals to local landmarks.

Additionally, amateur sculpting contests, which are open to the public, will take place along Yarmouth’s Bass River Beach and Seagull Beach on Thursday, June 27 and Saturday, June 29 — where professional sculptors will lend their guidance, and judge the contest. Think you have what it takes?

All sculpting aside, this year’s festival boasts a range of activities for all ages and interests — everything from a Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox game, nature walks, and sea chanteys to dancing and a myriad of daily beach entertainment. Events and activities will take place at various locations throughout the town of Yarmouth (for a detailed map, click here), but most activities are centered around Seagull and Bass River beaches.
To cap it all off, a fireworks display will take place on Saturday, June 29, marking the final evening of the Celebration.
Several Yarmouth lodging establishments, restaurants and retailers will be offering special values during the Summer Celebration— for more information, check out their current list of sponsors.
