It’s certainly not your grandmother’s bed and breakfast, and its charming blue exterior combined with its sophisticated, yet relaxed, modern interior rings nothing short of Ralph Lauren’s home collection – and nothing short of a MassFind.
Meet the Kemble Inn, a Massachusetts B&B that boasts an incredibly inviting aura – as the owner, Scott Shortt, puts it, “think champagne, in your blue jeans.”
Located in Lenox, MA, and having originally been built in 1886, this 12,000 sq. ft. B&B features 13 guest rooms, a 30-seat restaurant, and a breakfast that the New York Times quoted, “may well be the county’s finest.”
Not to mention, a million dollar view:
Owner, Scott Shortt, acquired the inn in June 2010 – when he set out to achieve his long-term goal of building a successful hospitality business. Bringing his business acumen and creativity to bear, Scott is revitalizing and renovating the Kemble Inn with the goal of transforming it into a boutique hotel, restaurant, and luxury spa.
So far, he has truly balanced the Inn’s historic architecture and pedigree with a modern and creative take on the interior decoration – often quoted as being Ralph Lauren-like, from which they borrow heavily for influence and decoration.
Importantly, though, the Kemble Inn strives for comfortable luxury – not pretentious or stuffy – but with high-level service, breathtaking surroundings, and ultimately, serving as a place to connect and relax with special people.
We’re delighted to showcase a reflection of how ‘comfortable luxury’ truly comes to life with this collection of guest room photos courtesy of the folks at the Kemble Inn:
