On March
16 and 17, Lexington will celebrate Incorporation Weekend,
recalling its incorporation as a town in 1713! Everyone is invited to
participate in LexCelebrate!, a two-day
festival similar to Boston's First Night. Enjoy talks, panels,
activities, demonstrations, meet a minuteman, and sample great tastes
at the food festival. It will all be topped off by an
intergenerational "300th Dance Around the World" on
Saturday evening!

Music Worcester announces
the return of the internationally known and acclaimed fiddler,
Natalie MacMaster! Along with her band, MacMaster has previously

Don your green for the 8th annual Cape Cod St. Patrick's Day Parade
in Yarmouth & Dennis on Saturday, March 9th! Bruins legend Derek
"Turk" Sanderson will serve as Grand Marshal of the festive
parade, which kicks off at 11 a.m. On March 12th, the Cape Cod Maritime Museum in
Hyannis debuts the exhibit "The Art of the Catboat." The
Catboat was the inspiration that boatbuilder Joseph Keveney drew upon
when designing three of his models, built from 1936-1942 and on loan
to the museum!

Springfield Museums celebrate
iconic images this March! Currently on display is
"The John F. Kennedy Experience," with rarely seen photos
and memorabilia related to the President and First Lady (now through
April 28th). "GUITAR: The Image That Rocked the
World" features celebrity guitars, interactives, audio, video
and the world's largest playable guitar (now through April 21st), and
"The Beatles! Backstage and Behind the Scenes" has 84
never-before-published photographs of the hit makers (March 12-June

The Spring Bulb Show at
Smith College is an annual tradition that's lasted more than a
century! Over 5,000 bulbs, which ordinarily bloom at different times,
are coaxed into a simultaneous blooming for this spectacular burst of
spring featuring crocuses, hyacinths, narcissi, irises, lilies and
tulips. The Bulb Show is open to the public daily March 2-17 from 10
a.m. to 4 p.m., with Friday evening hours on March 8th and 15th from
4 to 8 p.m. The suggested donation is $2.

Underscoring its position in the cultural fabric of
Johnny Appleseed Country, Fitchburg State University
keeps its finger on the pulse of contemporary art - demonstrated this
month with "When the Wheels Fall Off," an exhibition of
works by David Preston Wells! Opening on March 6th with a talk by the
artist, the exhibition in the Saunders Administration Building
encompasses visual snippets collected over time into
compositions that "create stereoscopic glimpses of inherited
past/present narratives."

place in the village of Onset in the Town of Wareham, plan to attend
the Onset Blues Festival on
